Battle Light Opera Group is a friendly amateur group that rehearses and performs in Battle Memorial Hall (opposite Battle Abbey). We produce two full shows a year: a musical in May, and an operetta (including Gilbert & Sullivan) in November. We also organise a charity supper concert in June and sing carols in Battle in December. We always welcome new members, both as performers or contributors backstage. We are also keen to encourage supporters, whether as patrons (with priority booking), advertisers or sponsors. For more information, please contact Adrian Collins at chairperson@battlelightoperagroup.com

Firstly congratulations to the cast and crew of My Fair Lady on a fantastic show!

Next is our Summer Concert “Variety is the Spice of Life” June 26th  and 27th  2009

Calling all performers! The theme for this year’s concert is variety. We have quite a few acts already for the concert and some chorus pieces, however there is the odd slot left for anyone with a passion to do something.

However, we are particularly looking for some silly/ novelty acts which can be as short as 15 seconds long, but no longer than a minute or two.

Can you juggle, tell jokes, unicycle, do magic tricks, got a farting duck or W.H.Y.? The madder the better. We want to hear from you!

Rehearsals are every Thursday from 14 May 2009 at 7:30PM Battle Memorial Hall - All are welcome.
